sI keep hearing so many testimonials like this one ^^^ that I had no worries about choosing a CAAD8 for myself as my first road bike. Get out there, ride them all and decide for yourself. I just know that my Caad8 is the one bike that I will never sale - ever. I'm not telling anyone that Cannondale aluminum bikes are the bike for them - Carbon bikes are smoother. I do my long training rides on Saturdays which are 5 hours long (7:00-12:00) and I never feel beat up on it. It's super stiff but doesn't beat you up. The bike bites in and commits to a turn before I do ( by leaning my body weight) which inspires confidence in races and pack hammer sessions. Overall, the Caad was about 1/2 lb heavier than my Fuji but it's just a better bike. After I raced on the Caad8 one time I never raced my Fuji again and have since sold it. I bought my Cannondale as a back up race bike to my full carbon Fuji Team Issue (the one the Toyota United Team is riding this year). I'd say the things that I like most about my Caad8 are the turn in, handling, stiffness and ride.
